  • Kathy Toon

    Kathy Toon is the guru of mental focus and shot intention! She is the founder of GlamSlam Tennis and the GameFace System, a 4-step program that focuses on mental performance for athletes. Kathy’s articles on tennis team success are featured online in the Norcal USTA’s Competitive Edge Series. Kathy is a senior trainer for the internationally recognized Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), having conducted hundreds of workshops for thousands of coaches, athletes, and parents across the country. She worked for over 14 years for the University of California-Berkeley women’s tennis team (Division 1) and helped them achieve three NCAA championships. It was here where she helped create the GameFace System. Kathy is primary author of Get Your Game Face On! and Get Your Game Face On! Doubles. Kathy played Division 1 tennis at Pepperdine University and received a BA in Sports Psychology at San Diego State University.

  • Skip Redondo

    Skip is the oldest of nine children in the famous “Redondo Tennis Family”. The Redondo family was the number one tennis family in the 1970s. His sister, Marita reached the top 20 in the world. During his 10-year stint as the Head Coach of Men’s Tennis at San Diego State University, Skip earned the distinction of being the winningest coach in the program’s history. Skip has extensive experience and success as a tennis coach at all levels of the game including junior, collegiate and professional.

  • Nicole Havlicek

    Nicole, originally from Ontario, Canada, moved to the United States on a full athletic scholarship at the University of California, Berkeley earning the titles of Co-Captain and MVP of the Women’s Tennis Varsity Team as well as a High Division I ITA National Ranking. (Yes, she played for me and Coach Brogan at Cal!) As a Golden Bear, Nicole represented the team in both singles and doubles on a team ranked #2 in the nation.

  • Jan Brogan

    Jan has long been associated with Cal women’s tennis, including her 29 years at the helm of the Golden Bear program. During her tenure, Brogan built the Cal program into a national contender. She produced four NCAA championship doubles teams, 61 All-Americans, 19 first-team All-Pac-10 selections and five conference player/team of the year honorees during her career. Brogan ended her Cal head coaching career with a 539-223 (.707) dual-match record. Upon her retirement, Brogan's just the 4th Cal coach to reach the 500-wins and the winningest coach in Cal tennis history.

  • Stephanee Lawrence

    Stephanee Lawrence, originally from northern Illinois, was taught to play tennis by her grandfather who played tennis at Stanford. Stephanee played collegiate soccer and tournament tennis while attending Arizona State University. Stephanee has been the director of tennis for the city of Vacaville and has coached tennis at both the high school and college level. She has a long history of success at all levels, including multiple titles at both the high school and college level – for both men’s and women’s programs.
